Fire-Rated Performance
Rated noncombustible in accordance with ASTM E136. When insulation is t be used in application exposed to to high air velocities, adequate protection must be provided to prevent erosion of insulation. Severe vibration may cause degradation of insulation under some circumstances. Consult with factory representative for recommendations or unusual applications.

Water Performance
Does not lose any of its thermal capabilities if it becomes wet and is allowed to dry. If dried thoroughly, it's sound insulation  values return to normal assuming it has not been mechanically damaged.

Acoustical fiberglass insulation for noise control and sound proofing is available in rolls 48" wide by 1" thick. The Mineral Fiber Felt is pre-cut to 2' X 4' which makes it perfect for suspended ceilings and  wall cavities where your wish to maximize your noise reduction program by  using material that is as thick as possible. You also get more sound proofing per in because the mineral fiber felt is available in higher densities for better performance in Noise Control, Sound Proofing and Noise Reduction.

General Product Information:

Roxul products are mineral wool fibre insulations made from Basalt rock and slag. This combination results in a non-combustible product with a melting point of approximately 2150^oF, which gives it excellent fire resistance properties. Roxul mineral wool is water repellent yet vapor permeability material.

Description & Common Applications:

The RHP series of products are non-combustible mineral wool insulation boards (2” X 4’ X 2” Thick) that are lightweight, water repellant and designed to allow for various application requirements. This series of products can be fabricated to different dimensions while still retaining all their fire, water and thermal values. A major application for the RHF series is pipe and tank wrap, where temperature demands as well as moisture resistance is critical
